If you would like to get more involved in the Canterbury Area RSCM then we are always on the look out for people to help out at events around the area. A brief outline of each post is given below, but more detailed job descriptions are available on request. Please complete this form to show your interest.
Education and Training Officer

The Education and Training Officer (ETO) leads a team of volunteers in the planning for, encouraging attendance of and arranging training events and activities which promote the educational objectives and values of the RSCM.
Young Persons Officer

The Young Persons Officer (YPO) is responsible for child protection compliance within the Area Committee and for making arrangements for the supervision of children at Area organised events.
Membership Officer

One member of the Area Committee is nominated to have specific responsibilities for membership. This includes encouraging new members, both affiliates and individuals, following up new members and to follow up those members whose membership is in arrears.
Publicity Officer

It is essential that events and activities which are organized at the local level for the benefit of
members are fully publicized so that everyone who wants to can attend. One person from the Area Committee is nominated to undertake publicity and marketing to Affiliates, Individual Members and Friends, and to the wider community.
Schools Network Officer

The Schools Network Officer will enable the Area Committee to make effective links with local schools. The Schools Network Officer can contribute extensively to this work by going into schools and forming partnerships with Local Education Authority musicians.
